The Hourly/ Application Package is designed for students needing help with the application phase of the college process or a targeted need such as athletic recruiting. FaceTime meetings are utilized after a full records review including standardized test scores. Recommendations may be made for additional testing or utilizing test-optional policies where applicable. Most seniors in this package have a working college list, which I will refine and have already visited campuses. Assistance organizing, prioritizing and completing application components and meeting deadlines.

 

This is a 15-hour package.  Additional hours are offered in bundles of  3, 5 or 10.

o Review records- transcript/standardized testing/senior schedule

o Assess need for additional standardized testing (July/Aug./Sept./Oct. test dates) 

o Review and refine college list (Super Reach, Reach, Target, Likely categories)

o Review specific admission requirements​​​ pertaining to your list

o Utilize BCC “Senior Checklist” to keep you organized & on task

o Utilize BCC “College Application Deadline Chart” to prioritize the process (strategies discussed for ED1, ED2)

o Personal essay, supplemental essays and resume guidance (organization, brainstorm, and edit using GoogleDocs)

o Resume & Activity section of Common Application guidance

o Common Application, Coalition Application, College specific apps, SRAR assistance and review

o College admissions interview prep and assistance

o Test score submission advising (when to apply test-optional)

o Showcasing a special talent in your application through a portfolio or other means

o Highlighting what makes you unique in your application

o Understanding admission decisions and next steps (college portals, deferrals, waitlists, appeals)

o Financial Aid advising- FAFSA, CSS Profile, Net Price Calculators, need and merit based scholarships
